Founded in 1909, the Armitt has a superb collection of books and manuscripts, drawings and paintings, memorabilia and archaeological objects. The Museum Shop has a superb range of jewellery, ceramics and textiles inspired by the artifacts in the collection.

Gifts, confectionery, locally made dairy ice cream alongside a selection of Made in Cumbria gifts. The shop is located at the heart of the Arnside Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, overlooking the old jetty on the banks of the River Kent. A good starting point for guided cross bay walks and renowned for its spectacular sunsets.

Opposite the early Norman Church in the beautiful village of Beetham you will find the community post office, dated 1881, which is also a general convenience store, off license and small gift shop. A range of Made in Cumbria greetings cards are available.

The Burnside Hotel has a lovely bar and coffee area housed in a conservatory looking out over Lake Windermere. If you are calling in, the Made In Cumbria showcase in the lobby has a small selection of gifts which can be purchased at the reception desk.

A large farm shop and galleries centre selling a range of traditional Cumbrian foods. From locally produced fruit and vegetables to an extensive range of meat, fish and other produce, the food hall is brimming with unexpected treats. A huge range of gifts are also available, including Made in Cumbria jewellery and the specialist flower shop.

The gateway services to North Cumbria and Hadrian's Wall features a selected range of popular Cumbrian gifts and craft in the gift shop, including pottery, glassware and fragrances.

Visit Cumbria's gateway service station featuring a range of Made in Cumbria gifts, including jewellery, ceramics, figurines, Lakeland mementoes (and sheep) from around the county. The gift shop also stocks a delicious range of Cumbrian jams, pickles and confectionery.

This lively village shop is situated in the heart of the charming village of Elterwater in the Langdale Valley. Here you will find a selection of cards from Cumbria's artists and photographers suitable for every occasion or as a memento of your visit.

Grasmere is one of Lakeland's most popular places, beside the lake and beneath Dunmail Raise. It is on the village green that you will find Beck Steps, a shop full of interesting gifts and displaying a selection of Cumbrian craft and gifts featuring jewellery, figurines, wood ware and ceramics.

Then browse around our well-stocked Farm Shop, which has a range of cheeses, chutneys, sauces, preserves, confectionary, fresh meat and fresh vegetables, together with our own range of delicious ice creams. High Head Sculpture Valley displays life size sculptures in wood, stone, iron and bronze, and offers an excellent location for a walk in the glorious Cumbrian countryside. Enjoy a bite to eat in our farmhouse tea room before browsing the gallery's changing exhibitions and range of Made in Cumbria gifts and crafts.

The newly refurbished upstairs at Yew Tree Barn is now home to The Gallery. Find a large, eclectic range of arts and crafts, mainly work by Cumbrian artists, including paintings, sculpture, jewellery, textiles and gifts. The new gallery complements the architectural antiques of Wilson Reclamation Services Ltd (WRS) offering a range of beautiful, unique pieces for interior design.

There are now also a number of studios and workshops situated at the Yew Tree Barn, where you can meet local artists and browse their products, including ceramics by Graham Glynn, jewellery by Silver Forge and photography by Ian Johnson. Also situated at Yew Tree barn is the Hattrick cafe, run by Jane and Sam.

Ulverston remains one of the most traditional towns in South Lakeland, known for its bustling market. Situated in the heart of the town, just off Market Street, The Cumbrian Way was opened to support the county's local producers. Cartmel Gallery exhibits a mix of contemporary British art and design. Artwork, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and studio glass are all shown in an atmospheric setting. The gallery changes exhibitions regularly, and welcomes visitors to browse and enjoy the unusual and original work on display.
