Expressions in Wood
I specialise in hand carving bowls, platters, dishes and abstract sculptures mostly from native grown hardwoods. Carving (not turning) allows me to fully exploit the natural shape and character of these timbers thereby showing off to greatest effect their wonderful grain patterns and composition resulting in many quite stunning and unusual pieces.
Products
I also produce a range of small items such as bud vases, 40 and 100 year calendars, shaving brush holders, boot jacks, pen and pencil trays, and clocks inserted into interesting pieces of wood. This is not an exhaustive list and I would be happy to discuss individual requirements - new ideas always welcome.
