Abigail Jacobs Studio Pottery

Abigail Jacobs produces two ranges of contemporary ceramics; press-moulded and thrown stoneware, both hand-made to a highly professional standard.After training with some of the countries top potters she has now set up on her own. Influenced by the natural beauty of the Cumbrian landscape her work uses natural colours and free brushwork, giving a sense of delicacy and a desire to enhance any setting.

Press-moulded Range

This incorporates a method of making which gives a textured surface and allows for gentle distortion. It is an  integral part of the work and means no two pieces are exactly the same.

Thrown Range

Made on the potter's wheel it is used for the more symmetrical shapes and produces a contrast to the quirky press-moulded range with a smooth surface finish.

Prices

From £5 - £120 Abigail covers a variety of tableware; bowls, mugs, plates, teapots, soup tureens and serving dishes, as well as larger more decorative pieces. She exhibits at numerous galleries and is able to do commissions and corporate gifts. Alternatively you can buy direct from the studio showroom.
