Harold Harrison Turning School
Woodturning Courses
Harold invites you to his well-equipped purpose-built Turning School on the edge of the Lake District to learn the age-old craft of turning wood.
He is a professional turner on the Register of the Worshipful Company of Turners of London and holds weekly turning classes for local turners.
Beginners are especially welcome, as Harold gains particular pleasure from introducing newcomers to the fascination of this ancient craft, although intermediate level students wanting to advance their turning skills should also benefit from attending. His teaching style is relaxed, informal and patient, so that students quickly gain confidence in their new-found skills.
The courses are held at the address below and can be of 1 to 3 days duration. Each day commences at 9 am and finishes at 4.45 pm. To ensure his personal attention throughout, no more than two people may attend each course.
All tools and materials, a turning smock, ear defenders and full face visor are provided for the duration of the course, as are lunch and refreshments! On its termination, each student takes away course notes as an aide-memoire.
The inclusive fees are: 1 day - £95; 2 days - £180 and 3 days - £270. No deposit is required. Fees may be paid in cash or by cheque supported by a cheque guarantee card. Gift vouchers are available at no extra cost.
