Meet the makers and buy local - Cumbrian crafters offering unique gifts from pencil portraits, embroidered pictures, paintings, photography and perfumes to hand crafted cards, ceramics, egg caskets, jewellery, soaps, textiles and woodturnings. Commissions welcomed.
Hours: March to Dec: 9.30am to 5pm most weekends and some weekdays. Please check the website.

A popular award-winning farm attraction including a farmhouse tearoom with a large 1760 stone barn, full to bursting with high quality crafts and art made by hand in Cumbria, with a new Gift Gallery opening for 2010. Also Farm Animal Park, Playbarn, Go-cart Track, Playground and a large walk through Parrot Aviary.
Hours: Every day except Mon (incl. Bank Holidays) 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Admission: Free except for admission charge to Farm Animal Park.

Hesta Scene? is a working studio gallery showcasing a unique range of work from post-graduate students and established artists/makers, set in the beautiful village of Caldbeck. Exhibits include paintings, textiles, jewellery, ceramics and more.

Admission: Free except to the valley.
Directions from the north: M6 J42, follow signs for Dalston. Turn left at the Black Lion Pub. Approx. 4 miles turn right at brown sign. Approx. 3/4 mile look for sculpture on the left. From the south: M6 J 41, follow sign for Wigton (B5305). At Hutton-in-the-Forest turn right. Approx. 5 miles turn left (signposted High Bridge / Stockdalewath). Approx. 3/4 mile look out for sculpture on the left.
