Our Award Winning Cumbrian Food Hall is home to Cranstons’ famous Cumberland Sausage and a large selection of delicious locally sourced food and drink. Café Oswald’s ‘the home of fresh local produce’ serves up a Cumbrian-inspired menu of breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas’.

Hours: Open year round 8am to 6pm Mon to Sat. Opening Sundays from May 2010.

This unique little shop, built in 1630 as the village school, is the only place to buy the genuine Sarah Nelson’s Original Celebrated Grasmere Gingerbread. World famous for its secret recipe and freshly baked everyday since 1854. Worldwide mail order available.

The Farm Shop has a fabulous selection of local foods, including its own butchery, and a whole floor of gifts, clothing and homeware many made in Cumbria and Lancashire. There is the café and garden centre to be enjoyed as well.

Working farm with wild boar, rare breed outdoor pigs, regional Herdwick sheep and lambs, and pedigree poultry. We farm on the edges of the Lake District, just under 1000 ft above sea level.

We make sausages, gammon, bacon, pies, pâté and all fresh meat available, including beef, pork, lamb, mutton, veal and chickens.

Hours: Farm shop open Thur to Sat 10am to 5pm, Sun 10am to 4pm. Also at Barrow market Wed, Fri, Sat, and at Milnthorpe market every Fri.

Directions: M6 Jct 36, turn onto A65, after 100 yds turn left to Endmoor and Kendal, after 1 1/2 miles turn right Gatebeck Lane, shop is 1 mile on the left.
